A: I offer DJ tuition in Bournemouth & online (via Google Meet) that is tailored towards your goals and music taste, with clear guidance and sense of progression at every stage.
A: Not at all. Most of my students are complete beginners, and we start from the ground up.
A: No - you can learn on my setup or even on CDJs*! I can also advise you on what to buy when you’re ready.
A: It depends on your goals, but most people start feeling confident with the basics after just a few lessons.
A: Mainly underground electronic music - house, techno, DnB, garage, breaks and more - but the core skills apply to any genre.
A: Yes - especially if you feel stuck, confused, or picked up bad habits from online tutorials.
A: That’s completely normal. Lessons are relaxed and beginner-friendly, and everything is explained step by step.
A: Not at all! I already have a big bank of tunes across a range of genres, ready to go.
A: Yes! In fact, learning on your own equipment can be a great advantage, as you'll be building confidence on the setup you'll actually be using at home or for gigs. While I can't claim to be an expert on every controller or mixer available, I have experience with a wide range of DJ equipment and will always do my best to familiarise myself with your setup so you get the most from your lesson.
A: At my studio, you'll be practicing on Pioneer DDJ-400s, the best decks to learn on as a beginner - especially if you're looking to transition to CDJs at some stage. If you opt for a CDJ session or join the beginner's course, you'll be practicing on 2 x AlphaTheta CDJ3000X , 2 x Pioneer DJ 3000, 2x Pioneer DJ CDJ2000 NXS2 + Pioneer DJM-A9 Mixer*!
